William J. Brisk, Esq. has achieved virtually every honor available to an elder law attorney. He
is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and one of fewer than 60 Fellows of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Bill received
his B.A. from Brown University and his law degree from New York University School of Law where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar.
Bill also holds a Ph.D. in international and Latin American politics from Johns Hopkins University. Bill
taught elder law at Boston College School of Law and currently is an adjunct professor at Suffolk University School of Law
where he teaches a seminar on the Law and Ethics of End of Life Care.
Since opening our Newton office in 1990,
he co-authored three books on elder law: LEGAL PLANNING FOR THE ELDERLY IN MASSACHUSETTS (Butterworth Legal Publishers), MASSACHUSETTS
ELDER LAW (Lexis), and A WILL IS NOT ENOUGH IN MASSACHUSETTS (Eagle Publishing). Bill has written articles,
case comments, and book reviews on virtually every aspect of elder law and received the John J. Regan Writing Award for what
was judged to be the best article in the NAELA Journal. Boston Magazine recognized Bill as a “SuperLawyer”
in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Bill lectures frequently
both nationally and in the Boston area. He has discussed changes in Medicaid on Newton Cable TV and for
the past nine years has given annual lectures to professionals on Medicaid and legal ethics. He was associate
editor of the Massachusetts Law Review, co-editor of a newsletter circulated nationally to elder law attorneys, and serves
as Executive Articles Editor for the NAELA Journal. He is a past-president of the Massachusetts Chapter
of NAELA and served on NAELA’s Board of Directors, the Board of Delegates of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and
is a Life Member of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. Bill concentrates on long-term care and estate planning,
Medicaid eligibility, guardianships, and litigation.
Ellen B. Scult, Esq. Ellen received her B.A. from Cornell University and her J.D. from Boston University School of
Law. She is an experienced litigator who has handled a wide variety of commercial and employment litigation.
As a commercial litigator Ellen represented large and small businesses, as well as individuals in various contractual
disputes. She also managed cases involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and violations
of non-competition agreements. Ellen’s general litigation background complements our team and enhances
our ability to litigate matters of elder financial abuse, and contested guardianships, and estates.

Cheryl B. Strunsky, Esq. Cheryl received her education at Brandeis University and Suffolk University
School of Law. Cheryl is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She is an experienced elder
law attorney who has handled a wide variety of estate planning, probate, and Medicaid cases. Cheryl’s focus is
on estate planning, Medicaid applications, and probate. E

Claire Bartholome, Esq. Claire received her A.B. from Mount Holyoke College and her J.D. from Suffolk University
Law School. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate, and elder law, and she is focused
on the unique challenges facing same-sex couples. Claire has previously worked in state government and the health care
industry. During her time at Suffolk, she served as an editor of the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. She
has been published in Bioethics Forum, Bay Windows, The Boston Business Journal, and the Suffolk
University Law School Journal of Health and Biomedical Law.

Jennifer A. Duhaime-Baker, Paralegal. A graduate of Mount Ida College with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Jennifer also
earned a certificate in paralegal studies from Northeastern University. Jennifer concentrates on client
relations, processing MassHealth Applications, scheduling, office support, billing, legal research, outreach coordinating,
event planning and the production and execution of documents.
